This Week on AiDIY: A Four Hour Tribute and Two Years of Featured Artists

Matt St. Onge·9 October 2026·2 min read

This week started with the Monday Live, and it wasn't a normal one. It ran four hours as a tribute show for Detour Soundscape, with the community showing up to share music and remember what he gave us. If you were there, thank you. If you missed it, the replay is up.

Then on Wednesday we celebrated two years of AIDIY's 5 Featured Artists, and I honestly got a bit sentimental putting the list together. So many of the names on it are people I've watched grow, comment, collaborate and just keep showing up. That's the whole thing, really. Music is for everyone, and there are no gatekeepers here.

This week's videos

AiDIY Monday Live - Tributes To Detour Soundscape

A four hour tribute to Detour Soundscape, with songs and stories from the community. It's a long one, so take it in pieces if you need to. Worth it for the feeling in the room. (Live, 4.6 hours)

AIDIY 5 Featured Artists Turns 2! | The AI Music Community Anniversary Special week 104.

Two years of AIDIY's 5 Featured Artists, packed into 52 minutes. Five artists featured, plus a long thank you list of people who've helped build this community. If you've ever submitted a song or left a comment, this one's for you too. (Live, 52 min)

Thanks Detour For The Song. Sorry It Was Cut Short

A short one, just to play a song that got cut off during the premiere. Thanks Detour for the song, and sorry it got clipped the first time. (Live, 25 min)

Suno Isn’t the Artist. You Still Need the Ear! ft. @Benstar16 (CRY4U)

Part one of my podcast with BenStar, the creator behind the AI R&B group CRY4U. He talks about using Suno for takes, ad libs, harmonies and doubles, and why his own ear still shapes the final song. Also a good chat about why AI music isn't cheating, and what it takes to build a brand people want to follow. (31 min)

Want to be featured?

I feature registered members all the time, whether that's in the 5 Featured Artists, on the live shows, in a co-host spot or just a shout-out. A free account on aidiy.tech is how I find people, so if you've been lurking, go make one. It takes a minute and it puts you on my radar.

That's the week. Thanks for being here, whether you watched all four hours or just a bit. See you on the next live.
