About
I'm David Shepard, a songwriter telling a deeply personal story through dark, emotionally driven rock and metal.
My music explores the lasting impact of childhood trauma, the struggle for identity, the ways we protect ourselves, and the journey toward healing and restoration.
The Theft is the first chapter of a larger, four-album story. Each song reveals another part of that journey.
I write the original lyrics from personal experience and use Brev to produce the musical performances under my creative direction.
My hope is that someone who has struggled silently will hear these songs, recognize something of their own story, and realize they're not alone.
