Newman Media Collective: The Story So Far
From forgotten lyrics to an independent music label.
My journey began in August 2024, when I discovered Suno and entered lyrics I had written back in 1994. Hearing them brought to life as a finished song sparked a creative journey I hadn't anticipated.
After learning about mastering and music distribution, I began producing more songs using Suno and later Riffusion, which became Producer AI then Google Flow Music. Much of my early material came from lyrics written between 1993 and 1995, alongside new ideas and songs.
As the catalogue grew, I established Newman Media Collective (NMC), named after my YouTube channel. I chose THE NMC for my rock-focused music, while my partner began releasing music as Jazzabelle Rox. I took on production and artwork alongside developing my own songs.
The first singles arrived on 30 October 2024, followed by a Jazzabelle Rox EP and album. THE NMC released several singles before its first full album, "Breakthrough", in April 2025, followed by further releases including "Just Breathe" in October.
In December 2025, two new artists were created: Just Jannelle (partner), focused on indie pop, indie folk and heartfelt storytelling, and Destiny Now (mine), primarily exploring indie pop. Just Jannelle released "Crossroads" in January 2026 and the deeply personal "I Still Talk To You" in April, exploring loss, memories and enduring connections.
Today, NMC brings together four distinct artists spanning alternative rock, hard rock, indie pop, acoustic pop and folk-inspired songwriting.
My role extends beyond AI music generation. I write lyrics, direct the creative process, edit stems, shape arrangements, add MIDI drums in BandLab, apply effects, mix and master tracks, and create album artwork using AI imagery and graphic design.
To date, the catalogue has reached 139 releases, including alternate versions and updated re-releases, with more than 100 additional songs in various sta
