About

I’m Thomas, and I make music as Ha11eck. It’s my artist name and my online handle, so the two aren’t really separate. The name comes from Gurney Halleck in Dune, the warrior who carried a baliset into every fight. A fighter who keeps making music no matter what felt right for me.

Every song I make is a story. I don’t really write singles. I build worlds and let the music live inside them. That might be a weathered trucker and his gray-muzzled dog on a haunted highway, a neon megacity where neural implants rewrite who you are, or a 1950s lounge act playing cheerful songs at the end of the world. The genre changes a lot from one record to the next. Telling a story is the constant.

I grew up on video games and tabletop RPGs, and I’m an introvert, so I think my music plays more like a campaign or a novel than a night at the club. My home turf is dark fantasy and cyberpunk, along with industrial electronic music full of glitchy, robotic vocals. I’m just as happy in dusty Americana, though, singing in a gravelly baritone with a spoken-word bridge.

I’m disabled, and I’m upfront about using AI. I write the concepts, stories, and lyrics, and I direct every track. AI tools, including a model of my own recorded voice, are how I turn those ideas into finished songs. For me, AI is accessibility. It lets me run a full creative studio by myself, using hardware I already own. I want to show that someone with limited resources can build something real with the right tools.

Where I’m headed: My goal is freedom. I want to make this work well enough to leave facility life behind, and maybe someday get back out on the road and travel again. Every song is a step in that direction.

Thanks for listening.
